Terms of Use

Short and honest, like the rest of Arnon. This is a free tool with no accounts and no promises. By using it, you agree to the terms below.

Provided "as is"

Arnon is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranty of any kind — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, security, or reliability. You use it entirely at your own risk.

No guarantee of availability

Arnon is a free, volunteer-run side project, not a commercial service. There is no uptime guarantee. The relay may be slow, drop connections, go offline, or be discontinued at any time, without notice. Don't depend on it for anything critical.

Acceptable use

Don't use Arnon for anything illegal, or to harm, harass, threaten, or endanger others. The relay only ever holds encrypted data it cannot read — that is not an invitation to abuse it. We may block access or take the service down at any time, for any reason.

No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators and contributors are not liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of, or inability to use, Arnon, including any lost, delayed, or undelivered messages.

Open source & license

Arnon is open source under the GNU AGPL-3.0. These terms govern the hosted service at arnon.app; the software itself is covered by that license. You're free to read the code, verify what it does, or run your own relay.
